Juvenile Law Center

The Juvenile Law Center works to abolish solitary confinement for youth through federal and state legislative advocacy, litigation, publications, and education. Most recently, they filed a class action lawsuit against Wisconsin, challenging the widespread use of solitary in juvenile facilities.

ACLU Stop Solitary

The ACLU Stop Solitary campaign focuses on solitary confinement for both adults and juveniles. Resources and advocacy tools can be found here.

Solitary Watch

Solitary Watch is a web-based project that operates as a centralized source of unfolding news, original reporting, firsthand accounts, and background research on solitary confinement in the United States. Solitary Watch is co-directed by journalists Jean Casella and James Ridgeway.

Stop Solitary for Ohio’s Youth Campaign

This state-based campaign to prevent youth from being placed in solitary when held in any out-of-home placement. This campaign is coordinated through the Children’s Law Center of Kentucky.
